Airport Security

Many airports rely on traditional fences with touch sensors to protect the airfield perimeter, but you should consider also in today’s era of drone threats, your perimeter has extended to the air domain, and if your airport is located close to the sea or a lake or river, you need to consider a technology that can handle these 3 different environments as part of your perimeter. DMT’s XRDS, Black Marlin, IDAR and MDR radar bundles offer the best solutions for airports. The XRDS and the Black Marlin are great for covering an entire runway and all its surrounding areas and fence lines. DMT Radars have been successfully tested by the FAA for USA airports.

Port Security

Ports, harbors, dockside, or any other waterside site, are tough for many security radars providers. Many radar companies use Ku-Band frequencies, which is great for providing high-resolution imaging; but those frequencies have extremely poor performance in foul weather such as fog, rain, and snow greatly reduce the range and can generate many false alarms. X-Band radar offers great all-weather performance and is why it is used in marine navigation radars. All DMT radar systems use this band. DMT has the world’s largest installation of security radars for a port with 6 Radars at Port Tampa Bay.

Vessel Traffic Services

Incidents involving vessels can lead not only to material damage and injuries but also to loss of life. These incidents could also cause a negative impact on the port economy, the economy of the country, and the region. The incident in the Suez Canal caused $400M in losses per hour due to the blockade of a stranded mega-container vessel. In those coastal waters particularly at shipping congestion points and at the interface with ports, the benefices of a VTS solution can be of considerable value to mitigate potential incidents. Whatever the mission is, a Port/Harbor VTS, Coastal VTS, or Inland Waters VTS, we can accomplish it in an effective and innovative manner backed by around 20 years of experience in DMT in port technology solutions and integrations.

Coastal Surveillance

Our Maritime Coastal Surveillance System is a highly sophisticated triple-layer security system employing advanced surveillance based on a long-range coastal surveillance radar synchronized with a long-range dual-sensor camera system for the detection, identification, and classification of maritime targets and low-altitude aircraft. We can provide a completely integrated country-wide Coastal security and surveillance system, which will be used by the Police, Port Authority, Coast Guard, Border Patrol, Emergency Management, and other government agencies. Each Security Tower is a self-sufficient unit, in terms of power, communication, site security, and processing which means can be deployed in remote sites (non attended).
